The Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (Internationale Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart) is one of the most important animation festivals in the world. A wide spectrum of animated filmmaking is presented at the festival each year, including visual effects, architecture, art, design, music and games.

What to expect at Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film

For six days each year, Stuttgart becomes the global centre for international animated film. On a typical year, 100.000 visitors, 2.500 industry professionals and 1.000 films would come together for the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).

This year, the programme of the Stuttgart Animated Film Festival has been modified to make a hybrid festival possible. Films will be shown for free at the open-air cinema on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, while live streams will also enable people to participate from home.
