What you'll build
As our Working Student for Visual & Brand Design, you will be the creative force shaping how developers experience OpenUI5, our open source UI technology. You will empower a global developer community by transforming complex topics into clear and engaging learning videos. You will bring our brand to life across all channels, translating complex technical topics into engaging learning videos and crafting compelling visuals for our social media and web presence that resonate with a global community.
A highlight of your role will be helping to shape the look and feel for the upcoming UI5con, our annual community conference. Your mission is to create an unforgettable event for hundreds of attendees, both online and in person. You will have the creative freedom to bring your vision to life, from conceptualizing the on‑site experience with unique venue decorations to producing digital assets for the live stream. You’ll design everything from dynamic intro videos and polished background graphics to engaging scene animations, adding a final layer of magic with visual effects to make the conference truly unique and memorable for everyone.
What you bring
- Current enrolment in a degree program such as Graphic Design, Media Design, or Visual Communication
- First experience with video editing and production, especially with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Proficiency in graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with tools like Figma is a plus
- A portfolio of your design and/or video work that showcases your creativity
- To foster close collaboration, we expect you to join us in the office at least once a week
- A strong command of English (at least B2 level) is required for this role. As most of the team speaks German, German language skills are a plus
- Working form Walldorf/St. Leon Rot is required
