About this role
Role:
Senior Designer for Lounge by Zalando, an online outlet redefining off‑price retail. Works side by side with Creative Direction, Art Direction, and Copy to build bold typographic systems, motion assets, and social designs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage creative projects end‑to‑end, own timelines and lead design initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Establish and maintain robust Design Systems for scalability and consistency.
- Apply expert typography to elevate visual storytelling, campaign assets, and daily digital communications.
- Conceptualize and execute high‑impact static and motion design assets for various marketing channels.
- Develop visually captivating social media designs (organic and paid) to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Translate complex design systems and project frameworks into simple, persuasive presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of global design and cultural trends to keep Lounge’s aesthetic contemporary.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts or equivalent practical qualifications.
- 7+ years professional experience in creative/design field with portfolio showcasing expertise in typography, design systems, and cross‑channel marketing collateral.
- Significant experience managing creative projects, guiding complex design initiatives independently, and strong stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of cultural trends and eye for fashion/lifestyle relevance.
- Proven track record in motion design and social media design.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and UI/UX tools such as Figma for design systems.
- Ability to leverage GenAI tools strategically in creative workflows.
