Applied Scientist - Logistics Algorithms (all genders)

Role: - Title: Applied Scientist (logistics team) - Contribute to algorithmic research‑driven software development for predictive warehousing, solving stochastic optimization problems that directly impact warehouse productivity. Responsibilities: - Research, design, and implement algorithms and predictive models. - Deliver end‑to‑end solutions, including prototyping, production software development, testing, and operation of highly available systems. - Influence research and development methodologies to foster a scalable, data‑driven architecture. - Support and coach other Applied Scientists by sharing knowledge and expertise. Qualifications: - Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. - Strong theoretical and practical understanding of algorithmic techniques (e.g., combinatorics, graph theory, control theory), mathematical modeling (operations research, statistics, experimentation), and machine learning approaches (forecasting, Bayesian networks). - Passion for solving complex mathematical problems with real‑world impact. - Experience with software engineering, microservice architecture, or data processing is a plus. - Excellent collaboration skills in agile, cross‑functional team environments.
