The Romanesque Summer in Cologne is an exclusive atmosphere with many incredible live concerts that will be taking place in 12 famous churches in Cologne, Germany this June 19-24, 2022.

Cologne’s twelve Romanesque churches

These churches are stunning works of art that are located in the heart of the city, and have their own uniqueness. These buildings are some of the most sacred pieces of religious architecture in Western Europe, and during the Romanesque Summer in Cologne, they become transformed into stunning stages for an unforgettable musical experience. Concerts and performances by international artists will be held until late at night with a vibrant ambience.

Theme for 2022

The theme for this year is Swing which encapsulates the resonance of life. The concerts will be emulating this through the use of echoes and reverberations throughout their performances. The sounds at the concert consist of anything from organ and baroque music, to classical music, to EDM. There will also be orchestras and jazz choirs, along with Arab and Persian musical performances.
