Citadel Music Festival
Get ready to rock, dance and sing the night away to some of your favourite bands in Berlin this summer! The Citadel Music Festival hosts a number of open-air concerts at a very unique location in Berlin every year - citadel Spandau - and you’re invited to come along!
The best of Berlin’s open-air summer concerts at Citadel Spandau
Enjoy the best live music has to offer at the old Spandau Citadel. Located in the Spandau district of western Berlin, this ancient fortress is one of the best-preserved military buildings from the Renaissance in Europe. The open-air arena is surrounded by giant ancient walls and buildings, creating a special atmosphere for visitors and musicians alike.
The Citadel Music Festival, unlike other similar events, is not limited to a single music genre. Over the years, various artists from pop, rock and jazz have graced the stage, including legends such as Patti Smith, Billy Idol, Queens of the Stone Age and Bob Dylan.

Citadel Music Festival - a one of a kind event
With the first event taking place back in 2005, Citadel Music Festival has grown exponentially over the years, attracting international and local visitors alike. Rather than limiting the event to one or two days, festival organisers Trinity Music decided to plan a concert tour through the warmest months of the year (June to August).
Now hosting up to 25 concerts per season, this year’s event is set to welcome international stars once more, ensuring that Citadel Music Festival remains unparalleled in the city. The festival also offers everything from local food and drinks to handmade jewellery, clothing, accessories, furniture and antiques.
