Finest Spirits Fair - Munich

Scotch, whiskey, or whisky – however you spell it, this year’s Finest Spirits Fair in Munich will be the place to be if you love a good single malt.

Taste your way around one of Europe's largest liquor festivals

Spanning three days in February, with an exhibition floor filled with stands from all the famous distilleries, this is one of the largest liquor festivals in Europe. Expect lots of interesting, small-scale drinks producers offering their wares alongside the big guns. And it's not just whisky, either. Gin makers will be out in force, reflecting the drink's growing popularity in Germany, as well as rum, tequila, brandy and cognac distillers. 

Each ticket includes a tasting glass which you get to take home with you! This means you get to taste your way around the room and be left wanting more. But don't worry, you can, of course, buy samples from all the different booths to find your favourite.

Masterclasses and workshops to perfect your palette 

As well as the tastings, there will be a range of masterclasses and workshops on offer, covering all sorts of topics from aperitif culture to an introduction to the world of whiskey and whisky, and their differences. Japanese whiskey, rum, gin, tequila and rare malts all get their chance to shine. This year, there are also sensory seminars suitable for beginners that let you delve into the fascinating world of spirits. 

Tickets for the masterclasses and workshops cost anywhere between 10 and 28 euros. You can pre-book and pay online (note that the price of workshops is not included in the ticket price).  

Attending the Finest Spirits Fair

The Finest Spirits Fair takes place at the Zenith Cultural Hall in Munich. As you're likely to be indulging in a tipple or two, we'd recommend getting there with public transportation, rather than driving! The price of your ticket includes a free shuttle bus from Freimann U-Bahn station.
