Part of DOM, the largest public festival in Northern Germany, this folk festival takes place three times a year (spring, summer and winter) and includes everything from funfair rides, live music and firework shows, to German food and drinks!

Get ready for Winter DOM

The Winter DOM offers locals and visitors alike four weeks of fun for the whole family. Easily giving both Cannstatter Folk Festival and the Biggest Funfair on the Rhine in Düsseldorf a run for their money, each edition of DOM features new and exciting rides, stands, events and activities.

Taking place at Heiligengeistfeld, right next to the St.Pauli stadium, the Winter DOM fairground covers 1,6 kilometres. This winter edition will see over 230 show people greet visitors in a complex containing everything from carousel rides and bumper cars to shooting booths and roller coasters! What’s more, every Friday evening visitors will be treated to a spectacular firework display, which lights up the sky above the city.

The largest folk festival in Northern Germany: Winter DOM

To ensure the festival remains accessible to all, Winter DOM is free of charge to enter and features Family Wednesdays, with discounted prices for families and young ones. And if you get hungry while wandering around the fair, then fear not - Winter DOM is as much about funfair rides as it is about food! 

Over 60 stalls will dish up a wide variety of food, ranging from the iconic Bratwurst and Currywurst to traditional Hamburg dishes, and more. There are also plenty of stands that offer sweet treats and German beer to keep you full of energy all day.
