KunstFestSpiele at Herrenhausen Gardens
KunstFestSpiele is an outstanding festival that takes place in Hannover's Herrenhausen Gardens each year, with music, theatre, dance and art installations. Originally planned to take place from May 15 to June 1, 2020, this year it has been rebooted as an autumn festival.
Witness next-level artistic feats at KunstFestSpiele
An astounding programme is planned for the 11th edition of the popular festival. This year sees next-level artistic feats, overcoming genre boundaries and connecting performers and audiences.
The highlight of the 2020 festival is "Fountain Scan" by Robert Henke. Henke, a musician, laser artist and programmer, will perform at the 300-year-old fountain with a spectacular sound and laser installation.
The festival venues include the Galerie and Orangerie, the Großer Garten and the Arne Jacobsen Foyer, all of which are located in the majestic Herrenhausen Gardens. This year's edition will also see the festival venture outside the gardens for the first time, bringing the KunstFestSpiele into the heart of the city of Hannover, to venues such as the Kuppelsaal of HCC and Lutherkirche.
Festival tent
The KunstFestSpiele central festival tent is where artists, crew and the audience can come together in a relaxed atmosphere. As well as being a place to enjoy food and drink, there will also be live performances and a series of talks with festival artists, hosted by a cultural journalist.
A day out for families on KunstFestSpiele Tag
There will be one day dedicated to families with kids. October 4 is the designated family day, known as KunstFestSpiele Tag, with many child-friendly performances taking place throughout the day. Tickets to these special performances and installations are just 5 euros.
