Berlin bartender Maria Gorbatschova has been awarded the title of Best Bartender in the country as part of the annual Mixology Bar Awards for bars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Bartender at the Green Door Bar Berlin, Gortbatshova has won the 2025 title of Best Bartender in Germany at the latest Mixology Bar Awards and is the first woman ever to win the national title.
The Mixology Bar Awards are considered to be the most prestigious bar and cocktail awards in the DACH region. The awards are often dominated by spots in Berlin, with Gorbatschova’s Green Door in the Berlin district of Schöneberg also taking the title of Best Bar in Germany, marking the 18th time that the best bar award goes to a spot in the capital.
That said, three bars in Hamburg were also celebrated at the 2025 awards. Collab Bar in Hamburg-Altona, which only opened in August this year, was named New Bar of the Year.
Jing Jing, a Thai restaurant and bar in Hamburg, which took New Bar of the Year last year, took home another award for Best Restaurant-Bar of the Year in 2025. Finally, Parisian-style Le Lion Bar in Hamburg-Mitte was named Bar Institution of the Year.
