The legendary Karl’s Erdbeerhof, a strawberry picking field west of Berlin, is now serving customers an unorthodox seasonal treat, the strawberry Döner.
The strawberry picking field and adventure park, Karl’s Erdbeerhof in Elstal, Brandenburg, is serving up a new seasonal treat to visitors, a Döner sandwich with strawberries.
At the on-site “Erdbeer-Döner” (Strawberry Döner) restaurant, visitors can expose themselves to “a particular kind of taste explosion”, namely a Döner with tender chicken, beef or grilled vegetables, each served in bright red bread, containing "crispy salad, fresh strawberries and Karl’s homemade sauce".
Visitors should ditch all expectations of reasonable Döner pricing at the door, Karl’s Erdbeer Döner will set you back 9,50 euros for the pleasure.
Karl’s Döner delirium doesn’t stop at dining. After their strawberry picking and dinner, visitors can head to the shop for some absolute necessities: a strawberry Döner plush toy, a strawberry Döner t-shirt or socks.
Can’t get enough, digest your dinner on Karl’s Erdbeer Döner rollercoaster, spinning in the air and suspended from a giant Döner spit, silver fork and sandwich complete in red and white wrapper. One man’s living nightmare is another man’s delicious day out.
