IT System Administrator for Linux (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the operation of our server infrastructures
  • You identify recurring processes and collaborate on automation, thereby generating added value
  • You perform performance analyses and optimizations on the systems and play an important role in the planning and execution of maintenance work / updates
  • You actively accompany the introduction of new technologies and server architectures into existing system landscapes
  • You analyze, document and solve technical problems and reinforce our changing on-call service
  • You operate and maintain the server hardware and software portfolio and keep the system always up to date and secure
  • You are a competent, technical contact person for other departments, such as data center, hardware development as well as project and product management

Your Qualification

  • The cornerstone of your success is a degree in computer science or a comparable completed education and several years of professional experience in the field of Linux server infrastructures, software development or system administration
  • You have a good kledge of current hardware platforms and technologies and always keep up to date with the latest technological developments
  • You k and master virtualization solutions on Linux as well as cloud computing infrastructures and containers, such as Docker, Open Stack and have in-depth kledge of various Linux distributions (preferably Debian) and SQL database management systems (preferably MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • You have experience in developing system landscapes and supporting complex, heterogeneous systems. Well-founded kledge in the network area as well as the confident handling of (script) programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash and if necessary Perl) complete your profile
  • You k automation methods, such as Rundeck, Ansible, and are not afraid to use them for platform automation. CI/CD is not a foreign word for you
  • Experience in working with repository / versioning control systems, such as Gitlab, Bitbucket is a prerequisite
  • You are characterized by a structured and independent way of working as well as a goal-oriented and professional approach to new tasks and problems
  • You are a team player, service- and customer-oriented, therefore you have a good analytical mindset and a quick grasp
  • You have good skills in comprehensive English, in written and spoken form and do not hesitate to use it on a daily basis
