Have you ever asked yourself where your favourite coffee bean comes from? Or how to recognise good coffee over poor coffee? If so, then this coffee event is perfect for you! The Berlin Coffee Festival explores everything from the origin of coffee, to how it's roasted and brewed and enjoyed!

Berlin Coffee Festival - Coffee

The idea behind Berlin Coffee Festival

The coffee scene in Berlin has boomed over the past few years, with more and more speciality cafes setting up shop, experimenting with different types of beans and roasting to bring out different flavours.

This is why, four years ago, the organisers behind Berlin Coffee Festival decided to create an event to bring together coffee connoisseurs and fanatics to discuss, taste and share their passion for coffee. The Berlin Coffee Festival is a platform for the progressive coffee industry and independent businesses, who want to get to know the individuals behind the cup, from farmers to importers and roasters.

Berlin Coffee Festival

Coffee - more than just a drink to wake you up

The Berlin Coffee Festival is set to kick off with a series of satellite events, taking place across the whole city. From October 1 to October 5, coffee fans can attend different educational workshops, lectures, tastings and discussions concerning the origin of coffee, what it means to be a farmer and coffee flavours at participating roasteries, cafes and coffee shops.

Then on October 6, in the Markthalle Neun, visitors can attend one of the largest coffee markets in Germany. Exhibitors range from roasteries sharing their latest and greatest beans to independent coffee businesses and farmers from around the world who have helped developed the coffee scene in Berlin. Sample new types of coffee, learn more about different roasting processes and try some delicious food or German craft beer before taking home new coffee favourites.

Have we whetted your appetite for coffee? Are you ready to sample all the coffee you can handle? For more details on the festival and to get your ticket, head over to the Berlin Coffee Festival website. As this event does include satellite events across the city, we advise you use public transport to make your way across the city - no one wants to get stuck in traffic when they are sampling delicious coffee!
