The Cologne Literary Festival prides itself on unusual events, bringing artists and writers together in conversation, rather than relying on straightforward readings. With over 175 events across the city, the festival's participants include authors, artists, musicians, journalists, and illustrators.

Impressively, the festival holds the Guinness World Record for the largest German-language class for their event in the Lanxess-Arena in 2006!
