Looking to attend a new type of musical and cultural festival this summer? Then look no further, as A Summer’s Tale offers a fresh take on music, arts and more - and it’s open to people of all ages.

Rather than focusing on one genre of music, such as Hurricane Festival or Wacken Festival, this event centres on creating an authentic festival experience. It also takes on a more eco-friendly approach, encouraging visitors to look after their surroundings and promoting local, organic produce.

What is A Summer’s Tale?

Located just an hour’s drive away from Hamburg, A Summer’s Tale takes its inspiration from its beautiful woodland surroundings, the nature reserve Lüneburg Heath. Founded in 2015, the festival showcases a wide range of musical artists, such as well-known indie stars like Kate Nash, New Model Army and the Editors, as well as upcoming and local artists together with various different art forms.

Attendees can expect to enjoy live performances, attend different types of readings, lectures and more. Various workshops, ranging from yoga and meditation to woodworking and electro swing, ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

What’s more, A Summer’s Tale also offers a special family programme, with activities for parents with children as well as designated family campsites, so the little ones can get the rest they need to fully enjoy the weekend festival.
