New Year’s Run - Berlin
What better way to bring in the New Year? Open to all running levels, from beginners to experienced marathon runners, the New Year’s Run in Berlin is sure to have you racing into 2024!
Race into the New Year in Berlin!
As the old year comes to an end, why not start the new one with a good initiative - running. Organised each year by the SCC, the 52nd edition of the New Year’s Run in Berlin kicks off at noon on the Pariser Platz by the Brandenburg Gate.
The New Year’s Run follows a relaxed four-kilometre route through the city, to the famous Berliner Dom, a must-see attraction in the city, and back. The more ambitious runners can always take an extended route to the Tiergarten or the banks of the Spree.
Running into 2024 all together
Unlike other running events, participation in the New Year’s Run is free! Instead of paying an entry fee to participate, runners are asked to make a donation to the Björn Schulz Foundation, a charity which supports families with children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
Ideal for the entire family, friends and other groups, the New Year’s Run helps bring people together for a good cause and is a fun way to start the new year. We do ask that you keep in mind there are no parking spaces available by the Brandenburg Gate, so it is recommended to travel by public transport. Dress warmly as well, as the weather can change suddenly.
