Lebkuchen, Bratwurst, Reibekuchen, Glühwein, ahhhhhhh… If you ask us, it’s not a traditional German Christmas market without a large serving of German food. 

The best German food at the Christmas markets

But with so many fabulous treats, sweet somethings and regional specialities on offer (and only a limited amount of stomach space!) it can be hard to know where to start. So, which foods are absolutely must-have this festive season, how are they made and - most importantly - how do you eat them like a German?

Join DW presenter Kate Müser as she chomps her way through the tastiest treats at German Christmas markets. A word of warning - this is likely to make you drool!
