An open-air arts festival featuring three German castles
Visitors can expect sophistication, flair and culinary diversity at this unique open-air arts festival with numerous stages and venues. The magical Dresden Castle Night takes place across multiple venues, including both the Saloppe reception room and the three Elbe castles - Albrechtsberg Castle, Lingner Castle and Eckberg Castle.

The event kicks off at 5pm and upon arrival, you'll find costumed performers dressed to the nines! You'll have an opportunity to experience the lush green gardens during daylight hours, so let's hope the weather stays fine during the event. Once night falls, you'll find yourself walking along magically illuminated paths, meandering from stage to stage and between the stands offering culinary temptations.
Countless artists perform on different stages, from classical music to rock to tango, soul and Latin music to swing - in other words, music for every taste. The evening culminates in a fantastic fireworks display and a specially produced light show projected onto the facade of Albrechtsberg Castle. New in 2024 is a late-night programme, so you can keep dancing and enjoying yourself until the early hours.

Getting to Dresden Castle Night
It's a great thing that German cities have such great public transportation links to castles and palaces on their outskirts. For visitors going to Dresden Castle Night by public transportation, you can take the 11 train and get off at the stop named Elbschlösser. If you're driving, you can park at Stauffenbergallee and Waldschlösschen and then take the free shuttle bus to the festival grounds. However, parking is extremely limited and the organisers do urge you to come by public transport if possible.
