Kurhaus Colonade, City centre De Blesse

The mountains of the Black Forest act as the perfect backdrop for Baden-Baden’s traditional Christmas market, helping create a winter fairytale escape for locals and visitors alike. One of the biggest Christmas markets in the region, the picturesque setting of this market offers a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience.

A fairytale winter wonderland in Baden-Baden

The enchanting Christmas feeling begins once you enter the world-famous Lichtentaler Allee, where the glowing and flickering candles and lights in front of the Kurhaus set the tone. The beautifully decorated fairytale lane is known throughout Baden-Württemberg, as is the 15-metre Christmas tree, one of the tallest in the area.

Further down, the merrily decorated traditional stalls stand next to the exclusive boutiques on the Kurhaus Colonnade, while the smell of gingerbread and mulled wine follows you past the Yuletide cabins. Expect to find handmade arts and crafts, Christmas jewellery and regional dishes at the more than 100 stalls on the square.

This year, you can discover the winter magic of Baden-Baden with a guided Christmas market tour where you can enjoy culinary tastings, insights into arts and crafts, as well as surprise souvenirs to take home with you!

Celebrate Advent at Baden-Baden

The perfect Christmas market for the entire family, here there is plenty of entertainment for the little ones! A children’s bakery lets them discover their inner pastry maker, while a round on the traditional merry-go-round is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Adults can look forward to a varied programme of Christmas-themed entertainment performed on the open-air stage, which encompasses multiple genres of music.

The classic nativity scene and Christmas cribs exhibition at the Trinkhalle only furthers the traditional holiday spirit in the lead-up to the national holiday.
