Head of Project Development

​Our client is a well-established, international renewable energy company with strong roots in the German market and a growing portfolio in onshore wind, photovoltaic (PV), and battery energy storage systems (BESS). With over 300 employees in Germany, they pride themselves on innovation, collaboration, and driving the energy transition forward.

They are currently looking for an experienced Head of Project Development to join our leadership team in Berlin or Hamburg.

Your Role:

• Lead and manage a team of project developers across Germany

• Oversee the full lifecycle of onshore wind projects, from early-stage development through to construction handover

• Support and coordinate PV and BESS development activities

• Ensure timely progress on permitting and approval processes at all levels

• Work closely with the construction and engineering teams to ensure project deliverability and compliance

• Contribute to strategic planning and business development

Your Profile:

• Proven leadership experience in renewable energy project development, preferably in onshore wind

• In-depth understanding of permitting and regulatory processes in Germany

• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills

• Fluent in German and English

• Willingness to travel within Germany as required
