Parts of Germany will be as warm as 28 degrees celsius towards the end of this week, before temperatures cool down during the Easter holiday.

Highs of 28C forecast for Berlin on Thursday

While spring has only just begun, people across Germany are bracing for summer temperatures this week. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), Berliners can expect highs of 25 degrees on Wednesday and 28 degrees on Thursday.

Locals in Dresden and Nuremberg can expect 25 degrees on Wednesday. For Dresdeners, the heat will continue into Thursday, with highs of 26 degrees, while temperatures fall to 21 degrees in Nuremberg. Locals in Munich and Leipzig can expect somewhere between 24 and 25 degrees over the two days.

Temperatures will be much cooler further west, with highs of just 18 degrees forecast for Frankfurt, Constance and Bremen, and 15 degrees in Cologne.

What is the weather forecast for Easter weekend in Germany?

In Berlin, warm weather will persist into the public holiday on Good Friday, with highs of 20 degrees, while 19 degrees is forecast in Dresden. However, temperatures in the rest of the country won’t exceed 14 degrees.

On Saturday, cloudy weather and rain are expected in the north, while sunshine is forecast for the south, with highs of between 13 and 21 degrees.

On Easter Sunday, western parts of the country will be rainy, while the east enjoys dry weather and sunshine. Highs of between 15 and 23 degrees are expected.

Moving into Easter Monday, the last public holiday of the Easter season, showers and thunder are expected, with highs between 15 and 22 degrees.
