The Schützenplatz fairground in Hannover will be all about the fun during Oktoberfest! The third biggest Oktoberfest in the world can now look back on almost 50 successful years. In the many marquees, visitors can look forward not only to conviviality, music and dancing, but also to some hearty treats, including regional specialities from both the Alpine region and Lower Saxony.

Over the course of this 17-day Volksfest, visitors can enjoy a variety of beers, which are served in the two large tents, as well as in several smaller tents and beer gardens. Prominent beers at Hannover Oktoberfest include the special festival beer from Privatbrauerei Herrenhausen and a favourite local beer, Lüttje Lage. And that's not all - fireworks take place every Friday at 9.45pm during Hannover Oktoberfest.
