Argo AI is an independent self-driving technology platform company that was founded in 2016 by Bryan Salesky and Peter Rander, to build the software, hardware, maps, and cloud-support infrastructure to power self-driving vehicles.
With a focus on robust, scalable self-driving technology that can safely drive in urban, highway, and suburban environments, Argo AI's technology will enable autonomous commercial services for goods delivery and ride hail. To deliver the benefits of self-driving technology at scale, Argo AI partnered with Ford Motor Company (2017) and Volkswagen Group (2020), to integrate Argo AI technology into their vehicles.
Today, Argo AI employs more than 1,400 people. The company’s U.S. headquarters is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and European headquarters is in Munich, Germany. In addition, Argo AI has offices in Detroit, MI; Palo Alto, CA; Cranbury, NJ; Miami, FL; Austin, TX; and Washington D.C.
